Englewood City Center - Criticism from the Urban Land Institute

E-mail Print

The following video was presented to City Council on April 6th 2009 during a Study Session by the Englewood Community Development department.  This video describes a conference that was held in the City of Englewood by the Urban Land Institute for the Englewood City Center Development.  The comments in this video are very descriptive and primarily negative towards the design of this area.  This video documents a fair amount of information explaining possibilities why this area of Englewood has not been a successful development. The Englewood Community Development department contracted a video producer to document this conference.  According to information obtained from the City of Englewood, this cost was a total of $3,800 to produce, not including any other cost incurred for the conference itself.  It is not entirely clear what the overall purpose of this video was to the Community Development Department.
