Council Bill No. 79 -Update-

Englewood City Council had originally planned to vote on the updated wording of Council Bill 79 during the council session coming up on Tuesday January 20th.   Although, during the last study session members of council have decided to postpone the vote until February (exact date not known yet).  There will be an update on this website when city council communicates the date new date for the vote.  I encourage everyone that showed up on December 15th to make an appearance on this new date.  Again there will be an update when the official date of the vote is communicated.

Bill 79 Update 12-15-08

Quick note: 12-15-2005

Thank you to everyone who showed up to the council meeting and for speaking.

A large number of people attended the council meeting to appose Bill 79. After presentations from many citizens, council decided to send the bill back for more work. The revised bill will be brought back to council session on January 20th. Council is going to grandfather existing driveways with gravel and other substances.

It goes to show if we the people use our voice we can affect what government does.

The fight is not over. There is talk that if you do maintenance on your driveway you may need to upgrade your driveway to an approved surface such as concrete.

Let council members know what you think. It might save you some money down the road.

Please check back soon for more info on 12-15-08 council meeting.
